Race 4 Excellence is a S.T.E.A.M.(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) based, group mentoring and after school program that uses electric, remote controlled cars to facilitate the mentoring process. All of the participants design and paint the bodies, and learn about the five major parts of the cars and race them. All of the activities provide tools that can be used both now and in the future. Discussions are held to engage the mentees in meaningful conversation that build one many of the tools they are learning. There are also field trips and inspirational speakers to enhance topics of discussion and preparedness for life.
